A unique concert featuring the emerging talents of young people from many fields of the arts. Our concert opens with a rousing world premier by young Arkansas composer William Huff. Pianist Poony Poon from the famed Juilliard Pre-College Division performs Mozart’s famous Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major. After intermission, young Arkansas filmmaker Thomas Nguyen premiers a short film accompanied by the Fort Smith Symphony performing the music of Scandinavian composer Jean Sibelius. To close the concert, the Symphony performs Stravinsky’s thrilling music from his ballet “The Firebird” choreographed and presented by the young dancers of the Western Arkansas Ballet. A youth celebration like none other. Don’t miss it!
